Mr. Dahnke is Managing Partner of Catterton Partners, a leading consumer-focused private equity firm with over $2 billion in equity under management. Mr. Dahnke has a broad range of business experience in private equity, consulting, management and finance. He has spent the last decade in consumer private equity and has completed more than twenty transactions, including Kettle Chips, Wellness Pet Food, Heartland RV, Breyers Yogurt, Van’s Frozen Waffles, Liberty Safe, and The Worth Collection. Prior to joining Catterton Partners in Greenwich, Connecticut, Mr. Dahnke worked in Manhattan as a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank Capital Partners and previously at AEA Investors, where he led AEA’s consumer sector investing efforts.
Before entering the private equity arena, Mr. Dahnke was the Chief Executive Officer of infoUSA, a leading (Nasdaq: iusa) publicly traded provider of business and consumer marketing products and services. He led infoUSA to an unprecedented string of consecutive record quarters, growing the Company’s market capitalization to nearly $800 million. Previously, Mr. Dahnke worked with consumer clients on a wide array of strategic and operational issues as a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Chicago office. His early career also includes experience in the Merger Department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. and with General Motors in Latin America.
Mr. Dahnke received a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He also earned academic honors while receiving an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He has served as a Director of numerous public and private companies and currently serves on both the Endowment and Finance Committees of the Board of Trustees of the American Federation of Arts.
